The early rain turns into snow during this morning. Our cross-country trails are prepared; the status is good, especially in the village centre and in Tiefbrunnau starting at the Oberascher inn to the end of the valley. We hope that we get much new snow – welcome in our town!
The whole day the sun was shining and also the trails are perfectly groomed.
The status in the centre of Faistenau is very good. The trace to Tiefbrunnau is tight, there you will see some snow-free places, so be careful please.
All trails are still open for its guests – so enjoy a cross country skiing day in Faistenau!

Last evening was also the first time in the long run history of Faistenau that artifical snow was be applied. This was a highlight for all iths watchers.

Also the tobogganing run “Sausteigalm” is open now. There are ideal snow conditions – so enjoy a exciting adventure for the entire family in Faistenau.
Make a short stop at the hut “Sausteigalm” and treat yourself to a tasty snack. From the hut you have a fantastic view over the lake “Wolfgangsee”.

Unfortunately last night the snowfall turned into rain. The whole cross-country slopes are prepared but now we cannot make the ski trails new. If it stops to rain and die water is running near the floor our ski-slope grooming machine will start its job again.

NEWS: According to the big amount of snow, it was possible to groom all trails in Faistenau. So the whole 54 kilometer cross country skiing network is OPEN now.
Also the Tiefbrunau & Oberascher Trail is ready for cross country skiers!
So enjoy a perfect day on Faistenau´s perfectly groomed trails.
Tickets for using are available in the tourist office and at the starting points of the cross country skiing run!

The Tiefbrunnau Trail isn´t open yet – therefore we need more snow. But we hope the best and if there is a new information, you will first find it here.
Also the night cross country skiing run is already in operation. This trail you can enjoy every day until 9 pm.

The landscape of Faistenau is covered with snow, but unfortunately it´s still too less to start the cross country season.
